Kindergarten- Cutting License
Kindergarteners received their cutting license by passing a cutting and safety test. Then we completed a non-objective project afterwards
Kindergarten- Lines lines and more lines
We created this project to focus on horizontal, vertical, diagonal, and curved lines. We did these in thick black lines. Next, in between the spaces we created other lines using the basic lines.
1st Grade- Sky Tree
We read the book Sky Tree and then creted our own sky trees. We first drew the tree in pencil and colored it in with crayon. Then we did texture rubbings of leaves. Lastly, we watercolored our picture.
1st Grade- Organic Shapes and Lines
Can you spot the organic shapes in our drawing and in our background paper? 1st graders learned that organic shapes are shapes with no names and no rules. We cut out an organic shape and traced it at least 3 times onto a small white paper, making sure to overlap the shape. Then we filled in the organic shapes with differnt types of lines.
1st Grade Patterns and Geometric Shapes
This project focused on making patterns for the boarder and geometric shapes on the inside out of primary color construction paper.

3rd Grade Birds Eye View Cityscapes
3rd graders drew birds eye view cityscapes that were inspired by the book The Man Who Walked Between the Two Towers.
4th Grade Abstract Still Life
4th grade created abstract still lifes inspired by Cubism. We broke up the paper by drawing 5 diagonal lines. We then drew an image of a still life. If we ran into a diagonal line, we made our pencil "jump" to make the drawing look more like broken glass.
