Holy cow it's almost summer! A great filler project for 1st graders.

4th Grade- American Gothic Parody

Check out these awesome American Gothic Parodies. Students used their iPads to look up images of their favorite cartoons. Theses were a success!

2nd Grade- 3D Barn Scenes

Second graders created 2-D and 3-D barn scenes by using model magic for animals and crayons and markers for the background. 

1st Grade- Headbands

1st graders studied symbols used in art and created head bands by using Native American symbols. 

Kindergarten Native American Pouches

Kindergarteners studied Native American art and created their own Native American pouches using paper and markers. 

Adaptive Art-Mother's Day

These made great Mother's Day gifts. The background is made by spraying washable markers with water. And the glitter made the picture come to life.

5th grade- Patriotic Art



Students looked at artwork by Jasper Johns and created their own patriotic art. We used oil pastels on black paper. Students were instructed to include an eagle, but the background had to be something that they believe represents America. 

3rd grade- Found Object Art


What better way to use old CDs than by creating found object art. Students had to create a painting while incorporating a CD. Can you spot the CDs in each picture?

Kindergarten Ladybugs

Kindergarteners read The Grochy Ladybug and created 3d ladybugs. We used a brad to fasten the wings and lady bug together so they can be opened and closed. 

Adaptive Art- Frogs

Adaptive art students create frogs. We used bubble wrap to print the circles. 

Kindergarten Cupcakes

Kindergarteners made cupcake still lifes inspired by Wayne Thiebaud. 

1st grade tints and shades

1st graders created tints and shades using paint. This project then dueled as a great Mother's Day Gift

2nd Grade Cityscapes

2nd graders created relief sculpture cityscapes.
We glued May board, poster board, and colorful scrap paper to create the buildings. We then painted our cityscapes the following class period.
