5th Grade- Color Theory Guitar

5th graders created awesome guitars using their knowledge of color theory. The body of the guitar represents the color wheel and complementary colors, the neck shows the value scale in paint, and the head shows monochromatic colors using tints and shades.



1st Grade- Architecure

1st grade discussed article true and found object art to create winter envelope houses. It is true that you can turn trash into treasure.

Kindergarten- Architecture

Kindergarteners learned about different houses from all over the world and created their own houses. I love how creative the students were. If Kindergarteners were architects, the world would be a beautiful place.



Kindergarten- Train Landscapes

Kindergarteners made train landscapes based on the Polar Express. We made the train cars out of the primary colors.



4th Grade- Famous Missourians

4th graders we're studying and researching famous Missourians in their classes, so we in art we created relief sculptures of the famous Missourians. Students made sure to include distinctive features.

2nd Grade- Blue Dogs

After reading Why is Blue Dog Blue?, students created their own Blue Dogs. We used sharpies, watercolors, and included a descriptive sentence to explain our artwork.

1st a Grade- Clay Birds

1st graders made clay birds sitting on nests. We used our knowledge of pinch pots and additive sculpture to create these.



Kindergarten Clay Fish

Kindegarteners made clay Rainbow fish out of slabs. We incorporated texture.


3rd Grade- Clay Wall Pockets

3rd graders created relief sculptures that double as frog wall pockets.
