Kindergarten- Hot Dog Cool Cat
Kindergarten learned about warm and cool colors by creating hot dogs and cool cats. We drew the animals in sharpie and colored them in with washable markers. Lastly, we sprayed our animals with warm water to make them look fuzzy.
2nd grade- Turtle Weavings
2nd graders created turtle weavings. This was a two day project. On the first day, we wove he body of the turtle and glued it to the background paper. On the second day, we added head, legs, tail, sea weed, and other details with markers.
1st Grade- House for Hermit Crab
1st graders read House for Hermit Crab and created collages based on the book. We used texture, paper tearing, drawing, cutting, and coloring. Students included elements from the book as well as there own details.
Kindergarten- Origami Dogs
Kindergarteners learned about Origami and created Origami dogs. We deiscussed how these are relief sculptures because they stick out but are flat on the back.

2nd Grade Egyptian Masks
2nd graders learned about Egyptian Culture and created Eqyptian Masks inspired by King Tut. We drew he masks on tag board, traced our lines with sharpies, and then colored in the masks. Finally, we cut out our masks and cut out eye holes. A band is placed around he mask to make it wearable.
4th Grade- Radial Designs
4th graders learned about Hex Symbols and created Radial Designs. We decided our circle into 6 equal sections and drew he same design in each piece. Students traced heir lines with sharpie and colored them in using markers.
