Classroom Set Up

School has officially begun, so I thought I would show you my classroom.

Front board- Here I display table jobs, classroom management materials, class expectations, Keys to Success, art supplies that will be used for the day, and what to do when you complete your art project.

Side wall- Decorations and Art objectives/ assignments for the day.

The Art Word wall; I will be putting art words up throughout the year. How to Draw Books and shelves to store artwork.

Supply trays for each table. Let's see how long these will stay organized. :)

Kindergarten- Progress Growth

I always have kindergarteners do the same drawings the first and last day of art. Here are some examples of the growth students made during their first year of school.

4th Grade- American Gothic Parodies

5th Grade Tessellations

Kindergarten- Koinabori Fish

Students learned about the Japanesse Children's Festival and created dippy dye Koinabori fish. This was a two day project. 

5th Grade- Oaxacan Sculptures

5th graders learned about abstract sculptures while focusing on Wooden Oaxacan Sculptures. We glued pieces of wood together and painted them using bright colors with details and designs 

2nd grade- Turtle Vessels

2nd graders created clay turtle vessels. We first created two pinch pots for the shell and bottom body. We added coils for the legs, head, and tail. Lastly, we used clay tools to add texture and details.
