I like my students to be independent, especially when it comes to getting supplies. Supplies that is frequently used is always set out in the same locations. These include pencils (sharp and not sharp cups), erasers, sharpies, tape, stapler, extra markers in case they dry up, crayons, glue, and free draw paper for when students finish early. I also have a marker graveyard for dead markers. This way if we lose a marker cap we can get a cap off of a dead marker.
